Professor of International Studies. George McTurnan Kahin graduated from Harvard University in 1940 and completed graduate work at Stanford University and Johns Hopkins University. He served in the Army during World War II, and lived in Indonesia from 1948-1949, during the peak of Indonesia's war for independence.
